Kuih Buah Melaka | Ondeh-ondeh








Hello everyone, this week, we will be making Kuih Buah Melaka.

Buah Melaka is an afternoon treat for Malaysians. It can be enjoyed during breakfast, brunch or tea. This treat has palm sugar inside that will burst in your mouth with sweetness.



Ingredients:

Glutinous rice flour  - 150g 
Flour - 1 table spoon
Coconut Shavings - 50g
Palm sugar - 50g
Pandan/Screwpine leaves 

1. Boil the screwpine leaves in hot water for 2 minutes
2. Blend the screwpine leaves along with the boiling water and filter the fibres out
3. In a bowl, add the rice flour and flour. Mix well.
4. Add the screwpine water little by little until the dough comes together. If the dough is too wet, you can add water. Form the dough into a ball.
5. Scoop a tablespoon's worth of dough and roll it into a ball. Flatten the dough on your palm and add a teaspoon of palm sugar in the middle. Roll the dough back into a ball enclosing its fillings. Repeat for the rest of the dough.
6. Add the balls into a pot of boiling water, once they start to float, they are done.
7. Cover the balls in coconut shavings and it is ready to serve.

Berikut merupakan resipi/resep untuk membuat kuih ondeh-ondeh atau buah melaka yang senang,mudah dan cepat.

Bahan- bahan:

Tepung beras  - 150g 
Tepung gandum - 1 sudu besar
Kelapa parut - 50g
Gula Melaka - 50g
Daun pandan 


1. Didihkan daun pandan dalam air selama 2 minit
2. Kisarkan daun pandan bersama air rebusan. Tapiskan air pandan untuk mengasingkan serat.
3. Dalam mangkuk yang besar, masuk kan tepung beras dan tepung gandum. Gaul sebati.
4. Masukkan air daun pandan sedikit demi sedikit sehingga menjadi doh. Jika doh terlalu basah, boleh tambahkan lagi tepung gandum.
5. Ambil satu sudu besar doh dan uli menjadi bebola kecil menggunakan tangan. Leperkan doh dan tambahkan satu sudu teh gula melaka di tengah-tengah doh tersebut. Kemudian, uli kembali menjadi bebola.
6. Dalam air yang mendidih, masukkan bebola. Apabila bebola tersebut terapung, ia sudah masak.
7. Salutkan bebola dengan kelapa parut. Ondeh-ondeh/buah melaka siap dan boleh dihidang.
